Welcome to Alpana Station!
Alpana Station is your ideal place in the Flinders Ranges for:
- Self contained accommodation
- Powered sites with private ensuite bathrooms
- 4WD tracks, tours and transport.
Alpana is a working sheep station in the heart of the Flinders Ranges perfectly situated for exploring the central Flinders Ranges region and enjoying the spectacular scenery, gorges, plants, birds and animals, bushwalks, 4WD tracks and more...
Your hosts, David and Sally Henery, love to welcome visitors to their property.
There is so much to see and do in this special part of South Australia they know you will love it as much as they do.
It is so easy to get to Alpana! You will find it 55km north of Wilpena Pound and 5km south of Blinman. Alpana's homestead is easily accessed by 2WD vehicles and standard vans on a fully sealed road from Wilpena Pound.
Visitor numbers are slowing down as the weather warms up but there are still quite a few dropping in to stay at Alpana. You are all welcome!
Thank you to those who have taken the time to mention us on Wikicamps during 2016, and also thanks to those sharing their thoughts on Instagram at #AlpanaStation. It all helps, and we are already receiving bookings and enquiries for 2017.
Here's some recent feedback taken from our Feedback page filled in by some Alpana guests in October:
Will recommend to family & friends. Great hosts, great amenities, fantastic location, incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Easily accessible, choice of campsites and/or facilities, great location close to Parachilna Gorge etc.
