Alpana is a working sheep station in the heart of the Flinders Ranges perfectly situated for exploring the central Flinders Ranges region and enjoying the spectacular scenery, gorges, plants, birds and animals, bushwalks, 4WD tracks and more...

Your hosts, David and Sally Henery and John and Keziah Henery, love to welcome visitors to their property.

There is so much to see and do in this special part of South Australia they know you will love it as much as they do.

It is so easy to get to Alpana! You will find it 55km north of Wilpena Pound and 5km south of Blinman. Alpana's homestead is easily accessed by 2WD vehicles and standard vans on a fully sealed road from Wilpena Pound.

The warm weather is here and it is time to start planning your next cooler weather holiday in the Flinders. Accommodation, camping, 4WD tracks, 4WD guided tours, 2WD drives, walks, bird watching, scenic flights, shopping, dining, mine tours... there is so much to do in the central Flinders Ranges! 2018 marks 140 years since Alpana Station began as Alpana Farm in 1878, with the inaugural lease taken up by Paddy and Ann Henery on April 18. To celebrate we are offering a special package deal for the Mt Samuel Track and Sunset Hill 665. For all of 2018, everyone who drives the fabulous Mt Samuel 4WD self-drive track can also drive our scenic Sunset Hill 665 track FOR FREE on either the same day or the following day. That is a saving of $20 per vehicle! But wait, there’s more! Everyone staying at Alpana in the month of April will receive a free special celebration sticker.
